…la verdad…
well, i did have the intention of writing a pre-ecuador post last week, but the busyness of life joined forces with my absent-minded personality and i forgot…so, hello from ecuador!!!
for those who didn’t know…i’ve had the extraordinary opportunity to be part of a Truth With A Camera’s photojournalism workhsop, located in Quito, Ecuador.
i arrived late friday night (saturday morning at 3AM to be exact) and have been pretty busy ever since. after three awesome hours of coveted sleep, i woke early to join most of the other truther’s for a trip to the rural town of otavalo. first stop was an outdoor animal market where people were selling pigs, cows, guinea pigs, puppies, kittens, chickens, et cetera.
a few cock-fighting roosters got into a little scuffle…
our second stop was a waterfall at Cascada de Peguche…

we then visited a large outdoor market before heading back to our hotel where we had a small meet and greet. a long, fun, fulfilling day.
this afternoon (sunday) we met with our NGO’s…i’m incredibly excited about the group and subject i’ll be working with. i really dig the philosophy behind Truth’s existence and hope to take home a great amount of new knowledge.
well, that’s it for now. i’m getting sleepy and the wifi here at the hotel is a tad slow.
