…shooting for good…
In September, a gallery exhibit held by Truth With A Camera will be on display in Portsmith, VA.
I’ve said before that TWAC is an incredible organization and I will always remain thankful that I was able to join their Quito workshop. The photojournalists involved are top-notch with honorable hearts, working tooth and nail to encourage NGO’s around the world, and thus benefiting people who are really in need of a voice and increased quality of life. Please take two minutes to watch the video below.
And if you can, please help support the exhibition by donating here.

…phos…
a few months ago, a friend posted the following video onto another friend’s facebook wall. the story is one of multiple that the incredible team at phos pictures have graciously chosen to share with the world.
maybe it’s because recently, within the span of just a few months, my family had to put to sleep our two remaining pets…maybe it’s the fact that i’m incapable of not connecting with at least one form of emotion that another human being transmits…maybe it’s because i’m a sucker for good stories…whatever the reason, my cheeks dampened within seconds of pressing play…
Last Minutes with ODEN from phos pictures on Vimeo.
earlier today, another friend shared the above story through an email, so i watched oden’s story for a second time. and i cried. again. i then decided to watch all the videos on the phos vimeo page, and each one seemed to impress a kind of secret upon my soul.
if you haven’t yet heard of phos pictures or experienced their incredible story-telling abilities, i highly suggest you make the time. the honest quality of their creations is something i aspire to achieve in my own work some day.
